This particular Sunday morning Engagement Photoshoot at Jetton Park was 27 degrees at 9am! I knew this in advance and made sure Wes and Brittney knew it was going to be very cold as well but I also told them how beautiful the lighting would be at this time of day and they were all in! It may have been very cold but they sure were troopers and it paid off because their Engagement photos came out beautifully! That golden glow that the sun casts at this time of day is something that neither fancy editing nor fancy filters can produce. I am thankful for clients who are up for anything because in the long run, they are the ones that get to enjoy these gorgeous photos for the rest of their lives. Gigi and Brenda’s Wedding was absolutely STUNNING! Their Wedding was held at Homewood in Asheville, NC and wow, they picked an amazing place for their Wedding. Vintage, rustic, and sophisticated, it was perfect! Gigi and Brenda are two very beautiful women who have been together for 31 years!!!! What a love they share! You could see it in their faces from the moment they walk in the room. To see how thrilled and overjoyed they were when they were saying their Wedding Vows and staring at their Wedding rings together could bring tears to anyones eyes. Gigi and Brenda were surrounded by such a loving group of friends and family who were equally as overjoyed as they were. It was such a beautiful occasion to witness and I am so incredibly thankful that I was chosen to be their photographer. Here are some of the memories from their Wedding Day.
Charlotte Asheville NC Same Sex Wedding Photography Sweet baby boy August was a dream come true for any photographer. The sweetest baby, relaxed, peaceful, and just happy to be there. He was adorable and did I mention gorgeous?!?! He was born on November 21 so he was 10 days old at our photoshoot which is prime time to photograph infants. This is when they still sleep so much that you can play around with posing them a lot. He was such a joy to meet and it was his first trip out of the house besides going to his checkups. His Mom and Grandma brought him over and I could tell immediately this baby is very loved! What a lucky boy, and handsome as can be! Here are a few of the shots we got during his photoshoot. You know how you have couples who are just absolutely gorgeous and look stunning in photos!?!?!?! Sam and Rachael were just that! We had a very cold Engagement Photoshoot in Uptown Charlotte that was well worth the frozen fingers and numb toes we all had. The sunlight was beautiful and we shot in the perfect locations. We were able to use the rooftop of their condo building for some of the shots and the others were shot at the new Romare Bearden Park beside the new Charlotte Knights Baseball Stadium…..both had incredible views of the Charlotte Skyline! I am so fortunate to hear Kevin and Kelly’s story of where they met and how they met as they were walking parallel to the Light Rail and he subtly swept her off her feet with his charm. This spot also happens to be the place where the smell of honeybuns fills the air so it’s clearly one of the best spots….on earth….seriously, ask Kevin.
